Trading strategies based on MACD are, without any exaggeration, among the 10 most common ways in which not only professionals but also complete beginners try to succeed in the financial markets.
And considering that up to 80% of all traders prefer to be lively (they fall into the category of short-term traders), that is why the IntraHour-MACD trading strategy was created, which not only provides traders with this liveliness, but also gives them the opportunity to achieve above-average profitability in this sector relatively very quickly.
Strategy entry rules
Entering long positions
- The red MACD line leaves the MACD band below the zero level
Entry into short positions
- red MACD line leaves the MACD band above the zero level
How to trade with the strategy
The basis of today's strategy is the MACD trading indicator, implemented within the M5 timeframe and setup (see chart above) so that the indicator creates a sufficient number of high-quality opportunities during the trading cycle.
If this is met, then it is only necessary to wait for the moments when the red line of the indicator at one moment moves within the MACD band (the band formed by the columns - see the grey columns on the chart below), and the moment it leaves this band according to the established rules, then it is possible to start exiting existing contradictory trading positions and simultaneously entering new ones.
In some cases, there may be situations when the system generates several consecutive trading signals in the same direction. In this case, it is possible either not to enter the subsequent positions (in the same direction) or to enter them and reduce the average percentage loss resulting from the open positions.
IntraHour - MACD is one of the trading strategies that offer every day traders full of trading opportunities and at the same time, as can be seen on the chart above, this trading method allows to achieve a long-term success rate of up to 80%.
